Journey to Growth - Capacity
May 27, 2016
Capacity is how much you can give. In order to contribute more and service better, your capacity must continue to grow.
Generally, your natural abilities, education, experience, skill sets, training and self-awareness make up your capacities that you can use to serve society and overcome challenges. Therefore, continual development of your capacities can help you make correct conscious choices about what to do, and identify opportunities when they appear. Ultimately, the bigger your capacity, the bigger impact you can make in the world.
Discovering and understanding your strengths, and fully engaging in the work you do are essential steps you can take. When you take time and effort to discover how to utilize your strengths, you may realize that you have opened up a new world for yourself. Suddenly, you are more resourceful and effective. Are you longing to be in such place instead of just surviving each day?
Today, ask yourself these two questions:
What impact are you making today?
What impact would you like to make
in the future?
When you are able to define the gap and know how to close the gap, you will have expanded your capacity.
Reflect on these questions:
What is it that you are naturally good at doing?
What is it that you do better than the average person?
The "Optimize your operating DNA and develop your growth path" process has enhanced my ability to envision my future and evaluate the options I have. It improved my ability to think through personal development issues for growth.
